Climate and Physical Features

Physical Features

One main thing comes to mind when you're thinking about Switzerland's features and that is The Alps. They take up over half of the country. The highest point that they reach is called Mont Blac and it is 15,774 feet tall! Switzerland's total area is around 15, 940 square miles, so that's pretty much of it that is covered by mountains. It borders Germany, Austria, Italy, and Lichtenstein.

Climate

The physical features of Switzerland really help determine the climate. Basically, the higher the altitude is, the colder the temperature is. The temperatures are sort of like the United State's, but their temperatures are less extreme. The good thing about Switzerland is that basically you can't choose a wrong time to go there. If you go in the summer there are plenty of things to do in the warm, and in the winter you have the Alps!
