Economy

Compared to some European countries, the prices of goods in Switzerland may seem a little high. But that's because the value of their currency, Swiss francs (CHF), is higher than some countries. One US dollar is about equal to 1.16 CHF. So it all adds up eventually. We have one hundred pennies in a dollar, and they have one hundred centimes in a Swiss franc. For coins they have 1,2,4,10,20, and 50 centimes; and 1,2, and 5 francs. For bills they have 10, 20, 50, 100. 200, and 1000! This website has pictures of all of the coins and bills: http://www.currencyworld.biz/articles/chf/
