Culture

Switzerland is considered a multi-cultural nation, because of the influence from all of the other different nations. German, French, and Italian are the biggest languages. Most people here are either Catholics or Protestants. Even though those are the main languages and religions, there are other religions practiced and languages spoken, just like anywhere else. For the most part, people in Switzerland dress like people in the United States do. Sometimes on the weekends, however, on weekends when there are sometimes music festivals, you might see people wearing more folk-style clothing. As far as food goes, cheese and chocolate are probably two that you think of right away. For breakfast they eat croissants, or some sort of bread and a cup of tea or coffee. Lunches can be very plain like a sandwich or more extravagant and big. The same is with dinner, it just depends what lunch was, because you usually have something smaller for dinner if you had a big lunch. Meals with meat and starchy foods like potatoes are also popular.
